Cypress is superbly workable, easily
installed, and readily finished. It holds paint well and is in the
group of woods offering the highest resistance to the elements.
Given a suitable surface treatment, well-seasoned Cypress lumber has little tendency to
warp, twist, or cup and offers good nail-holding ability. It is the
choice today for a wide variety of decorative and/or practical
applications, interior and exterior. Perfect for applications that
require aesthetic appeal and atmosphere practicality, Cypress is one of the most versatile
woods available.
With its legendary hardiness and durability, Cypress wood lends elegance to any
home, business, institution or recreational setting. It serves
myriad applications outside the home, including fencing, decking,
sidings, exterior trim, shutters, window boxes,
gazebos, and landscape design elements. Other recommended uses
include: fishing piers and boat houses, fishing and hunting lodges
(both exterior and interior), restaurants, churches, offices, and meeting
rooms.
We warrant our Cypress
to be dried to 13-18% moisture content when it leaves our yard.
Before installation, Cypress
must be stored under conditions that will maintain this moisture
content. Depending on its end use, dry Cypress should be properly primed or
sealed before installation to prevent moisture absorption.

horizontally. For siding purposes, other patterns are best when
installed vertically. Some patterns also lend themselves to
diagonal installations. Most patterns can be installed vertically
